Our Story

Who are we and what are we doing?
We are Arya Satish and Anousha P. Haider, class 10 students from National Public School, Agara, Bangalore, and we have started our initiative called “Vóithea” (meaning AID) to raise funds for an organization called “A Place to Bark Society” that rescues abandoned animals in Hyderabad and rehabilitates them through adoption. So far they have rescued over 500+ animals and rehabilitated around 3000+ animals.

Why are we raising the funds?
The voiceless are the ones who suffer the most in any given situation. Unfortunately, that’s the state for many animals on the streets, especially who are abandoned by people. But just because they can’t say anything doesn’t mean they don’t deserve any help. When we came across an NGO called A Place to Bark Society that does tremendous work in this space, we decided we should help them. Upon speaking with them, we realised they are in urgent need of funds to make Hyderabad’s first animal sanctuary. Specifically, they need money to buy a 2nd hand ambulance to rescue bigger animals (like donkeys, cows, buffalos, goats, horses and pigs) as well as for other equipments like catteries (boarding establishments for cats). In total need around Rs. 4 lakhs and we have decided to help them by raising at least Rs. 50,000 for them through our initiative “Vóithea”. The funds will be directly impacting the voiceless and abandoned animals and we are trying our best to raise funds for them, and we urge you too to help us achieve our goal.
